G for Ganges: ABC Wednesday Round 6

G for Ganges, yes one of the holiest (and like many others dirtiest) rivers of the world. This is actually a tributary of that river which is know as Bhagirathi. It flows through the State of Uttrakhand beyond converging into the great river. This picture was taken in June 2007 when we (me and my friends) went to Rishikesh (a city in Uttrakhand) for Camping and White water rafting. One of the most enjoyable trips of the life. We were camping in the banks of this river and it was an awesome experience to actually feel the river. It was just like being back to the cradle of the mother.

Date of Picture: June 14, 2007
Place: 20 Kms above Rishikesh, Uttrakhand, India
Camera: Kodak CX6200

Deepawali 2009- The Lighting

This lighting of my home is done by 'Yours Truly' with the help of his friends. Nothing was outsourced to the electrician. This was conceptualized by be, and administered by my friends and me. I am really thankful to them for helping me out.

Where are we going?

First of all my apologies for not posting for more than 3 months now. For most of the period during that time I was recovering from Jaundice. If not doing it I was maintaining my other blog, but that too was sporadic. Moreover, my camera was also not working and I was stuck with my old rickety Kodak CX6200.

This photo that I am sharing here now was taken by me almost a year back at Bapu Bazar at Jaipur. I was just wondering, were these parked bikes were solving transport and parking problem or they were just eyesore and trouble to the pedestrians shopping in the market. This thing is present in all of the Indians metros, Even in New Delhi, Connaught Place complex is decorated by cars. What is your say in this?
