E for Eggs : ABC Wednesday Round 6

E for Eggs of Pigeons

It might not be Exciting for Expected for Exciting ABC Wednesday. Nevertheless it is my own capture from my bathroom window where pigeons usually lay their Eggs. Taken on June 2009. Hard to believe that I took it behind a mesh of window.

I agree, hard to believe you took this through a window. The light is wonderful and I have never seen pigeon eggs!

Hey nice colors on this shot! Looks cute! For us, over here, Pigeons have actually become a little more than trouble. They're trying to build a nest on our AC! They even succeeded laying eggs in one of their nests when we were away for 4-5 days... Ideally we should allow them to do so but... Some times the trash from the nest enters the AC and we do not want it to get spoilt :-| The other major concern has been the way they dirty the place arround... :-( Otherwise if they were one of those birds who at least consider to keep their surroundings clean, we would have not had bothered about them staying on the AC...

I am with Sylvia as I too find it exciting and is a great example of what ABC Wednesday is all about, it is showing what is going on in our little piece of the globe! An excellent shot! Thanks so much for contributing.

My pictures are LOUSY when I tried to take some bird's nest through a window. Your shot is lovely.

Sorry you've had commenting problems; I can relate.

On behalf of the ABC Wednesday team, thank you!

A great shot; superb lighting. It reminds me of when we used to watch our pigeons' eggs; waiting for a chick to be born - exciting!

Lovely shot - and you must have had a great views of the chicks. Did you take photos of them? If so, you could show them for the letter 'S', as in pigeon squabs. :)

What a lovely shot! I think it's amazing that pigeons can just lay their eggs on a ledge with a few twigs, but they do, don't they?

And it's your bathroom windowsill? Cool!

@ Jay, they sure are creatures who can adjust anywhere...:)thanks for stopping by
